About ACI-NSS

National Service Scheme (NSS) plays a vital role in bringing meaningful change through selfless service and community engagement. The motto “Not Me, But You” emphasizes that the welfare of an individual depends on the welfare of society as a whole.

ACI-NSS was officially registered under Manipur University in 2015 and functioned as a Self-Financing Unit until 2017. Since 2017, it has been recognized as a Finance Unit. Currently, the College has two NSS Units for undergraduate students.

Volunteers have actively participated in National Integration Camps, Republic Day Parade Camps, Youth Parliament, North East NSS Festivals, and various Skill & Leadership Training Programs.

Achievements & Activities

• Won 2nd Prize at District and State Level Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI) – 2019.
• Rabunamei Village declared “Plastic Free Zone” under SBSI.
• ACI declared “Free Plastic Zone” in 2018.
• Installed 15 Solar Street Lights in adopted villages.
• Regular cleaning drives at Chowainu and Rabunamei villages.
• Conducted awareness programs on Drug Abuse, Social Health, and Environmental issues.

Service During COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, NSS volunteers extended support by distributing essential food supplies and organizing awareness programs. Masks were distributed to nearby villages and school children, demonstrating the true meaning of the motto: “Not Me, But You.”
