Department of Physics
Asufii Christian Institute (ACI) was established and officially inaugurated on July 14, 2010. Twelve years later, the Department of Physics was introduced as one of the newest departments under the Faculty of Science.
The undergraduate honours course in Physics was formally introduced on July 25, 2022, with Kashisii Katine Ekhe serving as the Head of Department and Asuto Zao as Assistant Professor.
Vision
To develop a strong foundation of learning both theoretically and experimentally, enhancing students’ knowledge beyond the prescribed syllabus and fostering scientific curiosity.
Mission
- To provide a standard level of education to prepare students for higher studies and professional courses.
- To equip students with necessary computing and problem-solving skills in scientific and technical domains through effective teaching methodologies.
- To motivate students to pursue research in Physics and related disciplines while enhancing their logical and analytical thinking.
- To provide opportunities for students to expand and nurture their capabilities through presentations, workshops, seminars, and academic activities.
